Welcome to the home of the North American Eagle. Our mission is to bring the world land speed record back to America. With an all volunteer team of engineers, technicians, mechanics and computer geeks, we have a vehicle built to safely break the 763 mph world land speed record set on October 15, 1997 by the British. To date we have made 31 test runs on nine different occasions. This year of 2013 will see the NAE move into the high speed phase of the project. Our first objective is to break the world female land speed record set by Kitty ONeil in 1976 at 512 MPH. When our aerodynamics team gives the go ahead, we will set a date for our attempt at the world record with the requirement to exceed the current record by 1%. Ladies and gentlemen that is 771 MPH! Given approval by the Bureau of Land Management, we will conduct those runs at either of two venues; Alvord Desert in SE Oregon or Diamond Valley, Nevada. We have a great team and a great audience that stretches around the world. It has been a systematic journey characteristic of aircraft test programs. Thanks for visiting and enjoy the ride!
